Dear Parents

I am delighted to be able to welcome you to Highfield School, as the new Headmistress.

Since its founding in 1918, Highfield has offered an excellent education to girls, where individual achievements and the importance of team efforts, are both highly valued. Whatever their starting point, our pupils are encouraged to work hard, discover and develop their individual talents and to make a positive contribution to the life of the school and to the wider community. We offer them a broad curriculum enriched with a range of extra-curricular clubs and visits, to stimulate their minds and make their learning fun.

As soon as you walk in the door at Highfield you know you are in a very special place. There is a strong sense of purpose in the girls and their confident, smiling faces are testimony to their enjoyment in all that they do at school. They work and play together in harmony and show a genuine concern for each other.

We value the contribution that parents make to the life of the school and to the education of their daughters, and the school benefits greatly from the work of the parents' association.

Please browse through this website to learn more about life at Highfield. Words and pictures cannot convey all that we are, so please come to visit us and allow us to show you around the school. I should welcome an opportunity to meet you, to hear about your hopes for your children and to show you the school in action.
